Buhari invites 39 Islamic nations to stop Avengers

President Buhari has stated on several occasions that the unity of Nigeria is not negotiable.
Some weeks ago, President Buhari’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr. Garba Shehu, stated that Buhari’s government had opened talks with Avengers.
According to Garba, “My conversation on this issue with the National Security Adviser, proves he met 14 groups claiming leadership to both NDA and JNDLF.”
Avengers has long denied such meeting. “We, the Niger Delta Avengers, have not negotiated with anyone.

“So we don’t know where Mr. Garba shehu and the National Security Adviser, are getting their information from.”
Yesterday, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo issued a contradictory statement in relation to the Federal Government’s stance with Niger Delta militants.
According to Osinbajo, the Buhari led administration has not entered into any discussion with Niger Delta Militants.
“The so called avengers are not freedom fighters but fighting for their own economic benefits.
“They are avenging for their private pocket and that is why government is not talking with them,” Osinbajo stated.
Now this sharply contradicts President Buhari’s spokespersons earlier stance.
Osinbajo stated that the Buhari led administration has decided a plan that will effectively zero the operations of all militants in the Niger Delta.
The plan will also end vandalization of oil installations across the region.
This is the plan: President Buhari has signed off a deal with Saudi Arabia to ship mercenaries who will fight Niger Delta Avengers.
You read that well!
President Buhari will be bringing in Saudi Blackwater mercenaries to the Niger Delta region to effectively end the menace of Niger Delta Avengers.
President Buhari’s rationale for bringing in Saudi Mercenaries was hinged on the Federal Government’s description of militancy in the Delta region as terrorism.
Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari visited Saudi Arabia some months ago.
One outcome of that trip was a proposal by the Saudi Monarch for Nigeria to join a coalition of Islamic Nations against terror.
President Buhari initially denied Nigeria was not going to be part of that coalition.
On a later date, PMB disclosed in an interview he granted Al Jazeera in his visit to Doha that Nigeria was indeed part of the Islamic coalition.
According to Buhari, “We are part of it (the Islamic coalition) because we’ve got terrorists in Nigeria that everybody knows which claim that they are Islamic.
“So, if there’s an Islamic coalition to fight terrorism, Nigeria will be part of it because we are casualties of Islamic terrorism.
“Why can’t those Christians that complained go and fight terrorism in Nigeria or fight the militancy in the South.
“Nigeria that matters, not the opinion of some religious bigots,” Buhari stated.
The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition, is an alliance of 39 countries in the Sunni Muslim world united to fight ISIS and other terror activities in Islamic nations.
Since Nigeria is part of a global Islamic coalition against terrorism, then the group can also send in their forces on a nation’s request.

In a swift reaction, Niger Delta Avengers stated that “Niger Delta Avengers do not care what the federal government does.
“If they like, they should hire Bluewater, Graywater, Pinkwater, Whitewater or Blackwater mercenaries from Saudi Arabia.
“It is none of our business.
“Saudi Arabia has its own problem of terrorism, so coming here to help Nigerian government is funny.
A staff of Saudi Embassy in Nigeria confirmed the $280 million deal, as part of the agreement in the Saudi-led Islamic coalition against terrorism.
